It’s no secret that, when it comes to decorative throw pillows, not all pillow inserts are made the same. Even the most stunning pillow covers can look a bit frumpy without a high-quality cushion insert to make them fluffy and full.

For years, Cloth & Stitch has offered some of the best-selling and most affordable square pillow inserts on the market, available in 5 sizes and with 3 filling options to choose from. Recently, we expanded our selection of throw pillow inserts to include two new shapes: lumbar pillow inserts and bolster pillow inserts.

Our Lumbar Pillow Inserts

Rectangular throw pillows give you the best of both worlds: comfort and style! They are ideal for filling in empty space on a piece of furniture while simultaneously adding comfortable back support. Create a little variety in your decor by adding a rectangular pillow in with your square couch or bed pillows.

You can choose from 2 types of pillow filling for your C&S lumbar throw pillow: down feather or poly (outdoor).

Our lumbar cushions are available in 4 sizes: 12” x 18”, 12” x 24”, 14” x 36”, & 14” x 48”.

How to style a lumbar cushion:

  • Place one of our 14” x 48” lumbar pillow inserts across a sofa or bed as a solo statement piece. We recommend choosing an eye-catching and bold cushion cover for your insert to really make it stand out!
  • Add a small lumbar throw pillow to any seat, like a desk chair or recliner, to give some additional cushioning while adding a stylish accent.
  • An outdoor lumbar pillow looks great on any outdoor seating, from Adirondack chairs to porch swings! Keep those pool days and campfires going all summer long with extra cozy seating.

Our Bolster Pillow Inserts

This unconventional cylindrical pillow shape adds sophistication and modernity to any space. Plus, bolsters are versatile pieces of decor that can be used as anything from armrests to neck pillows.

Our decorative bolsters are available with 2 types of pillow filling: down feather or poly (outdoor).

Choose from 3 sizes for your 'roll pillow': 8” x 24”, 9” x 36”, or 9” x 48”.

How to style a bolster cushion:

  • Add a short bolster pillow to the end(s) of a daybed, chaise, or futon to create a convenient and comfortable armrest that can easily be adjusted as needed.
  • Extra long bolster pillows can be laid in front of other throw pillows across a sofa or on a bed as a chic centerpiece. Feel free to play with patterns and textures to really make this pillow pop!
  • Why keep all the fun indoors? Toss an outdoor bolster pillow on any outdoor patio or conversation furniture set to instantly elevate the look - perfect for your next backyard party!
